We develop people and their ideas, this is how new leaders and new ventures are born.
Our approach rests on three pillars
Ontwerpend onderzoek
Design Research
Designforum focuses on the development of creativity and innovation capacity, for the market and society. In research by design we define the assignment and we delve into the stakeholders and explore possible futures. It is an instrument to investigate ambiguous tasks, across hierarchies and sectors, and to find the impetus for innovation, improvement and market-oriented opportunities.
Entrepreneurial thinking
Entrepreneurial thinking
Entrepreneurial thinking is needed to ensure the implementation of innovation and to prevent loss of motivation and waste. Entrepreneurial thinkers can create influence and support, so that others get moving. They identify needs and are resourceful in their search for opportunities. In doing so, they have an eye for avoiding unnecessary complexity in order to increase the chance of economic feasibility.
Creative leadership
Creative leadership
Designers and other creative professionals are essential in addressing complex transitions as they possess the thinking and manufacturing power to do so. However, this role also comes with the pressure to perform and creatives often have very high standards for the quality of their work. Additionally, the creative process can be erratic and uncertain, causing stress that can hinder creativity and productivity. Through international partnerships, we strive to identify process improvements to strengthen the creative sector.
Services
Challenges
We arrange innovation challenges for both the government and the business community, whether it's for social issues or to fill the lean startup funnel and boost internal startups. Each challenge requires a unique design team, tailored to the specific needs and goals. Our design team applies the proven principles of Design Thinking to come up with innovative solutions that meet the unique challenges and opportunities presented by each project.
Training
Designforum is the program manager of Design to Market, which supports young design entrepreneurs in professionalizing their skills. Our team also organizes specialized training for both the government and industry to encourage bottom-up innovation. We provide training in Design Thinking Facilitation, as well as mentoring for those who want to guide young startups towards greater success.
Workshops
Our workshops aim to coordinate ideas in a team, to determine joint priorities, to explore a problem, to analyze a decision-making process or to analyze an organizational issue. In short, in these workshops we can integrally examine different perspectives and bring a shared vision one step closer.
Coaching
Jos Hardeman uses her extensive experience as a designer and entrepreneur to coach young professionals in the creative sector. She combines coaching and advice in the search for a clear vision, a recognizable profile and an entrepreneurial strategy. A process of making choices is necessary to bring the thinking and creative power to maturity.
